There is a dip in hiring sentiment across sectors in India.
According to a study by job portal Naukri.com, 62 per cent recruiters anticipated new jobs to be created in the second half of 2012, while in a similar study last year, 80 per cent recruiters had anticipated new jobs to be created during the year.
In the beginning of the year, about 72 per cent recruiters were hopeful of new jobs being created.
The study, conducted among 1,000 plus recruiters, says that most of the hiring would happen in entry and mid-level categories. The recruiters also said that the hiring sentiment has dipped in the IT, construction and pharma sectors.
