The board of directors of Tata Consultancy Services on September 3 had re-appointed N Chandrasekaran as the Chief Executive officer and Managing Director for a period of five year effective October 6, 2014.
The tenure of Chandrasekaran, who was appointed as CEO and MD for five years from October 6, 2009, expires on October 5, 2014.
The appointment is subject to the approval of shareholders, TCS said in a filing to the stock exchange.
