Tata Consultancy Services has created a group of eight leaders who will oversee the multiple business units of the company and report to the Chief Executive Officer, Mr N. Chandrasekaran.
As part of this strategy, 25 operating units including a newly created one for healthcare have been aligned under eight stacks.
For instance, India, Asia-Pacific, West Asia, Africa and the government industry units have been aligned under Mr Ravi Viswanathan, currently head of TCS' telecom specific business.
New business development units in the US, UK and Europe have been aligned under Mr Surya Kant, President of TCS' North America operations.
Similarly, Mr A.S. Lakshminarayanan, head of UK and Europe, will be responsible for telecom, media and hi-tech businesses.
“This is not a consolidation…existing P&Ls have been retained; the empowerment, ownership and accountability levels of the ISU-heads remain unchanged,” Mr Kedar Shirali, Director of Investor Relation, said in a note to analysts.
The head of the newly arranged stacks will be responsible for the ‘aggregated order book target'.
“In addition, stack owners will be measured on the synergistic benefits expected from the alignment, such as improved win-ratios and various operational metrics,” Mr Shirali told analysts.
