Tech Mahindra will invest around Rs 1,000 crore over the next three years to expand its infrastructure capacity and augment its delivery capabilities.
“In India, our expansion plans are not only for big cities like Mumbai and Chennai, but for also tier 2 and tier 3 cities. This expansion will happen across the country, be it Chandigarh, Visakhapatnam or Bhubaneshwar,” C.P. Gurnani, Managing Director, told Business Line.
Going forward, a good portion of the company’s spend would also be directed towards overseas expansion, he added. This is because the company is focussing on local hiring and ensuring the workforce becomes ‘more global’.
“What we did not announce in previous quarter was that we now have four centres in the US. Take for instance our centre in Dallas, where we do skill development and training so that we can serve customers in the US,” said Gurnani.
Despite the macro economic challenges in Europe, the company see opportunities to grow.
