Tech Mahindra has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 275.77 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012, nearly flat from Rs 276.03 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal.
The country's sixth largest software exporter paid one-off settlement charges of Rs 294 crore during the quarter towards settlement of litigation claims of Aberdeen, it said in a statement.
The company’s total income on a consolidated basis rose to Rs 1,821.20 crore (Rs 1,459.61 crore) during the quarter under review, it said in a stock exchange notice.
During the reporting quarter, the company has posted net profit of Rs 189.09 crore (Rs 108.86 crore) on a standalone basis, while its total income rose to Rs 1,518.97 crore (Rs 1,375.17 crore).
“Our growth trajectory continues. Tech Mahindra has been consistently performing with key wins and partnerships, supplemented by non-organic initiatives. As we look forward we continue to see opportunities to help our customers in their strategic objectives, through innovative solutions,” said Tech Mahindra Executive Vice-Chairman Vineet Nayyar said in a statement.
Tech Mahindra added 14 new clients during the quarter, while its total headcount stood at 49,059 as of December 31, while it also completed the acquisition of Comviva during the quarter.
Tech Mahindra shares rose 1.08 per cent to Rs 979.10 on the BSE.
