Techcom today launched its mobile handsets in West Bengal. According to a press release, the company launched seven dual-SIM GSM handsets in Rs 1,500-4,000 price band targeting the mass market. Speaking at the event, Mr Sandeep Kumar Kedia, Director (Mobile Business) said: “West Bengal is one of the strongest markets for mobile phones. With deeper penetration of mobile telephony into semi-urban and rural areas, the market is slated to grow further. We aim to sell about 3.6 lakh units in the first year in West Bengal and around 2 million units in India.”
