A three-day training programme on ‘information delivery systems’ for academic and research institutions will be held here from July 11 to 13.
International Centre for Free and Open Source Software (Icfoss) and Centre for Developmental Studies are jointly organising the event.
This would suitably equip staff on education and research institutions such as programmes/course coordinators, teachers and librarians in modern, IT-based management of courses, a spokesman for organisers said.
It will cover aspects such as information storage, delivery and management using FOSS (free and open source software)-based software such as Moodle and DSpace.
The programme will have theory sessions and hands-on practical sessions. Participants will receive certificates on its successful completion.
Programme fees are Rs 5,000 without accommodation and Rs 7,000 with accommodation.
