Wipro has won a seven-year outsourcing deal with UK-based Xoserve. Xoserve provides information on Britain’s gas market to gas transporters and shippers, is owned by five major gas distribution network companies and National Grid’s Gas transmission business and manages 22 million gas meter points across the UK.
The deal will involve the replacement of Xoserve’s UK Link suite of applications and modernising it, according to a company statement.
The new platform will enable Xoserve to meet the expected demand growth generated by the roll-out of smart meters in the UK, it added.
