Wipro to automate J&K power
Wipro Infotech has been selected by the Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department (JKPDD) as its IT implementation agency. Wipro will establish a data centre, a disaster recovery centre and a customer care centre for JKPDD. Wipro will sustain the solution for five years. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rajat Bhaduri, General Manager - Utilities & Metals Vertical, Wipro, said, “We are confident that with this implementation, the Department will be able to reduce outages across the State.” Wipro will also offer an integrated solution comprising of core utility application modules like meter data acquisition, energy audit, metering, billing, collections, GIS, and others. —
