IT service companies Aditi Technologies and Synowledge are to set up shop in Ireland with an eye on strengthening focus on the European market.

The two companies are to create 75 new jobs in the country, according to news reports in the Irish media.

Aditi Tech, a cloud computing services provider, plans to employ Irish talent for consulting and engineering complex deployments on the cloud. “Ireland's investor-friendly policies, close proximity to continental Europe and membership of the EU, fit perfectly into our expansion strategy,” said Alok Bajpai Chief Financial Officer and India Head, Aditi Technologies. The company’s business in Europe has been growing at over 50 per cent annually, he added.

According to a press statement by Ireland’s industrial development agency, over 50 per cent of its population is under the age of 35.

For Synowledge, which also provides biometrics and clinical services, Ireland would serve as ‘the rest of the world’ headquarters. “Being in the drug safety, IT and regulatory affairs fields, Ireland is a major hub for the global life science sector. Its cosmopolitan talent pool was also key factors in our decision,” said Antra Bhargava, Global Vice President, Synowledge.

Key partner

Richard Bruton TD, Ireland's Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, said that India is a ‘crucial trading partner’ for Ireland. He is currently on a trade mission to India along with over 40 Irish companies.

As part of the agenda, Bruton is also expected to meet Anand Sharma, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, to discuss trade and investment links between the two countries.
