Bharti Airtel today said its customers travelling to the US can have up to five hours of free incoming calls and make outgoing calls for Rs 20 per minute through special international roaming packs.
Apart from USA, the Company has launched international roaming packs for countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, UAE and UK, the Company said in a statement.
Airtel’s postpaid customers travelling to USA can get 300 incoming minutes free on a fixed rental of Rs 8,500. The pack has a validity of 30 days and customers will be charged for incoming and outgoing calls at Rs 20 per minute after the free minutes are over, it said.
Users travelling to the US will get 60 free incoming minutes on a pack of Rs 3,500 and 10 free minutes on a pack of Rs 1,000.
“While Airtel postpaid customers travelling to countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, Germany, UAE and UK can now enjoy up to two hours of non-chargeable incoming calls and make outgoing calls for as low as Rs 40 per minute through special packs,” the company said.
Customers travelling to these countries will get 120 free incoming minutes on a fixed pack of Rs 3,600 and they will be charged Rs 40 per minute for incoming and outgoing calls after the free minutes are over. On a pack of Rs 1,500, 30 free incoming minutes will be provided and Rs 60 per minute will be charged once the free minutes are over.
The validity of both the packs is 15 days each.
Besides postpaid customers, Airtel prepaid customers travelling to a select countries can also have outgoing and incoming call rates as low as Rs 20 per minute on recharge packs of Rs 779 and Rs 1,479, along with getting full talk time on these packs which can be used both during international roaming as well as in India.
