Amazon India today announced an extensive hiring drive for close to 2,000 contract positions in its new Fulfilment Centre located in Attibele in Bengaluru. These contract associates will join the company’s thousands of existing associates at over nine fulfilment centres in Karnataka to help pick, pack, ship and deliver customers’ orders more efficiently.
Amazon India has collaborated with multiple local recruitment agencies to identify the right talent for this hiring drive. The recruitment agencies are looking for potential candidates who reside near Attibele, Anekal, Hosur, Jigani, Bomasandra, Chikkatirupathi, Bannerghatta and Krishnagiri, to name a few. The e-tailer is looking for enthusiastic, hard-working individuals who have a strong commitment to customer service and great work ethics.
Fulfilment centre associates work in one of four areas – receiving of products, stowing, picking and packing, and contribute to providing a fast and reliable customer experience. All the initiatives, processes and policies in the Amazon Operations sites are designed to improve and create an environment where people can learn, adapt, and excel. Amazon India also partners closely with manpower agencies to ensure that all contractual associates are paid on time.
"In line with our commitment to making deep investments in the country and, in turn, creating opportunities for employment, we are excited to announce that we will be hiring close to 2,000 contractual positions in the next one year for our new fulfilment centre in Bengaluru,” said Akhil Saxena, Vice-President, Customer Fulfilment, Amazon India.
