Computer hardware maker Amkette expects its audio products arm, Amkette Acoustix, to account for 20 per cent of its revenues in the next three years.
The city-based firm posted revenues in the range of Rs 100 crore in the 2012-13 fiscal.
“Amkette Acoustix will account for 20 per cent of the total revenues of the company in the next 3 years,” Amkette Director Rajiv Bapna told PTI.
Eyeing the festive season, Amkette has also launched the latest range of headphones and speakers under its newly formed arm, Acoustix, he added.
“This affordable range of audio products will hit the markets this week and we are creating experience zones in 1,200 outlets across 22 cities for people to experience our products. We plan to expand the number of cities to 110 in the next four months,” Bapna said.
The headphones range — Free Spirit and Slix — and speakers — Metal and Solo — are priced in the range of Rs 1,295 to Rs 3,195, he added.
“With the proliferation of portable audio devices and the modern age music being defined by music in our pockets, we at Amkette Acoustix have created a range of products that answers the way today’s youth consumes music, while on the move,” he said.
The company has also associated it self with fusion music band Mrigya to promote its products.
Amkette manufactures a range of products including EvoTV range, audio products, wireless products and peripherals, HDMI and audio cables among others.
