A Hyderabad-based start-up has built an Android app that aggregates a variety of services to make things easier for senior citizens. The One Big Family (OBF) app, promoted by Weseo Technologies, offers a host of services ranging from utility payments to access to health services.
“They can quickly get access to logistics services, emergency help and entertainment services all the at the click of a button,” Satish Chandran, Founder of One Big Family, said.
The mobile app will be initially offered on Google’s Android phones and the services will be offered on Apple’s iOS platform in the next few months.
The company raised $400,000 internally to fund the project, which presently employs eight people. “We have launched our services in Hyderabad. We will go to Bengaluru, Kerala, Mumbai the Gulf in the next four to six months,” Chandran said.
He added that by October 2019, the firm extend the services to countries like Indonesia and Malaysia where the demand for such services is growing at a rapid pace.
Chandran also said the firm is building packages to suit different needs of senior citizens. “We will have services that provide round-the-clock personal help by our staff,” he stated.
