Anthill Ventures, an investment firm and accelerator, along with a few others, has invested ₹1 crore in the Delhi-based Rooter Sports Technologies Pvt Ltd, marking its foray into sports technology and media and entertainment space.
“Rooter will use the proceeds to grow its operations in India and expand to Europe. We helped Rooter in getting access to a few corporates, who in turn, will connect them to global partners,” an Anthill Ventures press release said.
The two-year-old start-up integrates live sports engagement with social interactions and provides fastest live scores and data for eight sports.
“The start-up was able to build on its SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) product offering as a fan engagement solution to sports teams, leagues and media companies across the world,” Prasad Vanga, Founder & CEO, Anthill Ventures, said.
