The Andhra Pradesh Government has asked the Union Government to take measures for the safe release of Infosys staffer Viswakanth Ankireddy, who is held hostage by the gunman in Sydney for almost a day.
AP's NRI Affairs Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy wrote a letter to the Centre in this regard.
Viswanath is among the hostages in the Sydney cafe.
