Motherboard maker and consumer notebook vendor, ASUS, has entered into the desktop segment.
Mr Albert Tung, Managing Director, ASUS (India), formally launched three desktop products here on Wednesday.
"These products will cater to the gaming, entertainment and daily-computing segments of the desktop market,’’ Mr Vinay Shetty, Country Head (Component Business), ASUS, India told newspersons after the launch.
The Taipei-based company set up service centres in 48 tier I and tier II cities across the country to provide on-the-spot service to the customers.
The desktops, which are completely imported, would be sold with the help its channel network and tie ups with retail stores.
Prices range from Rs 22,000 to Rs 85,000, Mr Shetty said.
