Digital services firm Atos is to buy healthcare technology solutions company Anthelio Healthcare Solutions for about $275 million. Atos is acquiring Anthelio from Actis, a London-based growth markets investment firm.
The acquisition will get the European firm access to the US healthcare market by strengthening the scale and scope of its services.
Anthelio, which has a centre in Hyderabad, generates about $200 million of annual revenue, and is growing at 8 per cent.
“Our ambition with Anthelio is to reinforce our healthcare footprint in the US and to become the leader in digital healthcare solutions,” said Michel-Alain Proch, Group Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer (North American Operations) of Atos.
Anthelio brings more than 1,700 healthcare professionals to Atos, of which 1,300 are in the US and 400 in India.
