Kerala IT team has felicitated award-winning incubates from Technopark here.

Innoz Technologies and Kreara Solutions had won the Indian STEPS (Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Park) and Business Incubators Association (ISBA).

Mr P.H. Kurian, Principal Secretary, IT, and Dr K.C.C. Nair, Secretary, Technology Business Incubator (TBI), and Registrar, represented Kerala IT during the function.

Mr Girish Babu, Chief Executive Officer and Mr M. Vasudevan, Senior Business Development Manager, took part on behalf of Technopark.

Incubated at the TBI, Innoz and Kreara bagged the award for 2012 at the Sixth ISBA Conference held in Pune.

Innoz Technologies won the honour as the best incubate in IT, while Kreara the best graduated company from a business incubator in the biotech category.

Mr Anoop P. Ambika, Managing Director, Kreara, and Mr Deepak Ravindran, Chief Executive Officer, Innoz, received the awards from Dr R. Mashelkar, President, Global Research Alliance and former director-general, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Kreara was incubated in 2004 and Innoz Technologies, a student start-up, from LBS College of Engineering, Kasaragode, in 2009.

Innoz Technologies developed a technology and algorithm for the mobile industry to identify high value context segments of the mobile search market.

It built SmsGYAN, a Q&A search engine that delivers knowledge bits over SMS. Miki is a personal search assistant that can detect voice and deliver rich contents on the mobile phone instantly.

Kreara Solutions has established itself in the area of clinical research, life sciences and financial markets with two products namely EMR and Sopanam.

The EMR system is a hi-tech medical data capturing utility, with path breaking usability features.

Sopanam is a programming collaboration tool that supports statistical analysis in an onsite offshore development environment.
