Bartronics, the Hyderabad-based identity solutions, biometrics and RFID products firm, has reported a loss of Rs 39 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012, against a profit of Rs 46 crore in the same quarter last year.
During the quarter, the company registered a turnover of Rs 244 crore against Rs 292 crore in the comparable quarter last year.
For the full year, its profits stood flat at Rs 108 crore (Rs 110 crore) on a turnover of Rs 1,082 crore (Rs 888 crore).
“In spite of the challenging environment, the company has demonstrated a strong performance for the 12 months ended March 31, 2012 with revenues growing by 22 per cent over FY’11. We have continued to see traction in the Asian and the US markets,’’ Mr Sudhir Rao, Managing Director of Bartronics, said.
“The reorganisation initiative is nearing completion. We have requested the Registrar of Companies to extend the financial year by six months (up to September 2012) to complete the process,’’ he said.
