Bartronics profit jumps 60%

Revenues of Bartronics India have declined by 17.5 per cent in the quarter ended December 31, 2010, at Rs 202.49 crore against Rs 245.33 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company, however, reported a net profit of Rs 35 crore (Rs 21.8) crore, showing a growth of 60 per cent, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Expenditure came down to Rs 158 crore, a decline of 15 per cent over Rs 186 crore.

During the quarter, the company bagged five more social inclusion projects taking the number to 14. It won the mandate for Aadhaar enrolment in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand.

Earnings per share stood at Rs 10.26 (Rs 7) in the quarter.

The standalone figures, however, showed increase in revenues at Rs 164 crore (Rs 145 crore) and expenditure at Rs 153 crore (Rs 98 crore).
