Beatmysalary, an online job portal that allows candidates to hunt for jobs anonymously, is looking for another round of funding. The company’s founder Karthik Parshad in a statement said that the start-up was bootstrapped for six months before raising funds of about $60,000. It is now looking for more investors. Parshad said Beatmysalary was built keeping in mind the pain points of every individual searching for a job and every recruiter looking to hire the best candidate.
The online portal gives importance to an individual’s privacy, time and choices and preferences. Some of its features include, passive recruitment. It lets the candidate scout for jobs even when they are in comfortable jobs. It also does carries out anonymous job search so that no one knows that they are on the look out for a job change, Parshad said.
The job portal has done away with CVs and has replaced them with candidate cards, where all the necessary information can be accessed by the recruiter in no more than couple of minutes. Recruiters can also have shopping like experience which saves enormous amounts of time.
The candidate cars also incorporates the candidate’s expectations and preferences showcased upfront, so the recruiters reach out to them only if they can fulfil all their needs, which makes it easier for the candidate to find the job on their terms.
