If you thought buying groceries or apparel online was big novelty in the e-commerce era, think again.
Now, you can even pay the booking amount for your new home out of your mobile wallet.
A home buyer from Mumbai — at the launch of this facility — used MobiKwik wallet to pay the booking amount of ₹10,000 for his Tata Value Home.
Mobile wallet company MobiKwik and Tata Value Homes — a pioneer of online home selling — have joined hands to enable a homer buyer to pay the booking amount (maximum ₹10,000) via MobiKwik wallet and book a house on TataValueHomes.com.
Commenting on this partnership, Bipin Preet Singh, Founder and CEO, MobiKwik, said this is a win-win arrangement for both partners as it provides an opportunity for “cross-promotion”.
“We are not expecting thousands of home bookings to happen out of our wallet. This would, however, certainly create awareness among our customers that even home bookings could be done through a mobile wallet. This tie-up certainly gives broader flavour to acceptance of mobile wallets”, Singh told BusinessLine .
Alok Arya, Brand Manager, Tata Value Homes, said the response to this facility is encouraging.
Arya said this exclusive arrangement between Tata Value Homes and MobiKwik would initially be valid for six months.
In India, 70 per cent of the home buyers do online search (mostly out of a smartphone) before firming up their buying decision, Arya said.
This exclusive association has been launched along with Tata Value Homes flagship offer, One Nation One Price. In this offer, Homes across six cities, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Boisar (near Mumbai) and Pune will be offered at one price point starting ₹29.9 lakh.
