BSES launches WhatsApp service for duplicate bills

New Delhi based power distribution company, BSES has launched a Whatsapp service to help customers get duplicate electricity bills.

To get a duplicate bill, all the consumer has to do is save the BSES WhatsApp number in their phone’s contacts list. Then, they should send a WhatsApp message by typing #Bill<space>9-digit Customer Account Number and send it to 9999919123.

The duplicate bill will be WhatApped on the same number.

A BSES statement said that this service will be first rolled-out for the company’s consumers in South and West Delhi. Looking at the response, the service will also be extended to its consumers in East and Central Delhi.

Earlier, BSES had introduced registering ‘no supply’ complaints and reporting power theft on WhatsApp.
