Telecom major BSNL has chalked out a plan to replace the PCOs (public call offices) with new generation VCOs (video call offices).

The service was launched by BSNL recently in the state and 35 people have activated the facility at their homes and business places at present.
The facility needs a dedicated broadband connection and a special instrument being provided by the SIS Info System, Singh said.
The VCO facility will be available in 34 districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The service has already been launched in Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.
For a 45 second pulse of a video call, the operator will charge Rs 3 from the customer, he said.
