Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, opened its new business process outsourcing (BPO) centre in Gurgaon on Tuesday.
This is Capgemini’s first BPO centre in the northern region and sixth in India. The new facility is spread across 35,000 sq.ft., and will increase the company’s BPO capacity in India to over 4,500 seats. The existing BPO staff in Gurgaon will deliver Global Order Management services to Nokia Siemens Networks, to support the company's Supply Chain Management.
The services delivered cover quote-to-cash processes including all aspects of order management, spanning preparation for delivery, customer order management, distribution, and customer invoicing, a company statement said.
In India, Capgemini's BPO unit has close to 5,000 employees. The unit delivers finance and accounting, management assurance, engineering services, content management, research and advisory, supply chain management, procurement services and human resources outsourcing services to over 25 international customers across centres in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Gurgaon and Salem.
“Having strengthened our presence in the key cities of South India, we are keen to leverage the talent pool of North India for servicing our global clients, based on our domain specialisation in Supply Chain Management,” Mr B.L. Narayan, Vice-President and Head of BPO, Capgemini India, said in a statement.
