Chinese mobile phone maker Vivo is planning to set up a manufacturing plant in Gurgaon. The company, which has just entered the Indian market, said the plant is expected to be ready in 3-4 years.
The third largest mobile phone player in China, the Shenzhen-based firm sold four crore phones last year.
In India, it is planning to expand its presence by opening exclusive sales outlets.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Vivo General Manager Tracy Chen said the company would expand the retail footprint to 15 from the present four by the end of May.
The firm has a range of phones that are priced between Rs 8,000 to Rs 12,000.
