IT major Cognizant has opened its new office in Hong Kong, to enhance its existing operations in the Greater China region.
The opening up of the new facility would enable Cognizant’s global, regional and local clients to leverage the technical and business capabilities available in the region, Cognizant said in a company statement.
The facility would also provide deep local insights and time zone advantages to Cognizant in Asia Pacific region.
“We continue to steadily grow our presence and investment in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong’s booming information and communication technology sector is among the world’s most advanced,” Cognizant, Asia Pacific—Head, Jayajyoti Sengupta said.
“Combined with Hong Kong’s specialist business and technology talent, the city is a great location for us to deliver mission—critical transformative services to our clients in Asia Pacific and elsewhere,” he said.
The expansion in Hong Kong underscores the ability to the city’s talent pool to help clients win in today’s technology and data—intensive world, he added.
Cognizant currently employs more than 300 professionals in Hong Kong and provides a broad range of services—across digital business, operations and technology to more than 30 leading organisations engaged in financial services, retail, consumer goods.
