While opportunities in using digital technologies creates opportunities, it also give rise to considerable cyber security vulnerabilities, which needs to be addressed.
Talking to BusinessLine at the Best Practices Meet, Nandkumar Saravade, CEO of Data Security Council of India (DSCI) said: "In the current landscape, the industry is witnessing wide-scale adoption of new technology solutions that are leading to building complex digital business models."
Cybercriminals take benefit of the scale and complexity brought about by the Digital transformation to attack and hence, cyber security becomes crucial while architecting the security of these models, he added.
In line with this, DSCI along with Nasscom will come up with a report outlining opportunities and best security practices for companies as well as certifications for professionals. "This is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making India a cyber-security expert country and his Digital India mission," Saravade added.
