Datamatics Global Services, an IT, KPO and consulting firm, which recently acquired two companies, is on the prowl for more. It expects to pump in $10-40 million on further acquisitions in India and abroad.

The company is looking at online B2B information providers, companies which service online retailers, and firms providing financial data and document processing. “We are talking to two companies in India and three in the US and Europe. We will close 1-2 deals, hopefully by this financial year,” said Mr Rahul Kanodia, Vice-Chairman and CEO.

Last month, the company acquired 72 per cent stake in California based IT firm Cignex for $17.39 million. It recently also acquired Bangalore-based Vista Infosystems, which provides solutions for smart devices.

The company will open its fifth delivery centre in the country - at Puducherry. The Puducherry centre will have a seating capacity of 700-800, which will be filled in two years, said Mr Kanodia.

Datamatics’ current headcount in India is 4,200. This year, it hopes to hire 2,500 people.

The company clocked revenues of Rs 275 crore last year. This year, it hopes to touch Rs 420 crore.
