Chennai-based education support services company EdServ is targeting addition of 250 schools over the next 12-18 months for its ‘Vidhyadhana ERP School Management System’, a top official of the company said.
Already 250 schools in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh have successfully implemented Vidhyadhana’s School ERP Solutions, Mr S. Giridharan, Chairman and CEO, EdServ, told PTI here.
“There has been excellent feedback from all the stakeholders, including students, teachers and parents. We are now targeting to extend services to another 250 schools that will take the number of schools covered to over 500. These additional schools will not only be in the metro cities but also in a number of tier-2 and tier-3 locations in India,” he said.
Under the Vidhyadhana offering called the ‘iClass’ School Management System, EdServ would provide the requisite hardware, presentation equipment, multimedia kits and content materials, which would enable the teachers to instruct students effectively.
The homework assignment has also been made easy for both parents and students with the Management Information System (MIS) installed on the system. Additional software would enable parents to know the location of the school bus and transport systems, about which alerts would be regularly fed into the e-mail system or on the short messaging service (SMS) using mobile handsets.
While a majority of Vidhyadhana’s school ERP solutions will be targeted at schools in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the company will also expand its footprint in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan and the Delhi Capital area.
EdServ charges a fee of Rs 3,000 per month per classroom for its Vidhyadhana solution.
