EMC Corporation's customer support services have expanded to cover 100 cities across India.
Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu will become the 100th city to offer EMC customer support services as part of the company's commitment to local customers who will receive support in a timely manner as and when needed, said a press release.
EMC's on-location support services in 100 cities in India include installation, implementation, maintaining uptime and troubleshooting. EMC says it provides onsite response within four working hours in all cities and towns; spares replacement are addressed on the same business day in cities where it has logistics centres (in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai), while they are addressed in the next business day for all other cities and towns.
Mr Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC, said, “The information storage industry has seen a three-fold growth in India in the last decade; this is a direct result of the digital information explosion underway. Businesses support mission-critical applications and any seconds or minutes of downtime can result in a ripple effect of a catastrophe.
“EMC's technical support team recognises the importance of business continuity and it is most important to be present where our customers need us.”
