Everonn Education Limited's founder Mr P. Kishore will continue to be in custody at the Puzhal jail with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court extending his stay by another two weeks in a bribery case.
Mr Kishore, along with additional IT commissioner Mr Andasu Ravinder and a middleman, Mr Uttam Chand Bohra, will be produced before the court on October 11. The three were arrested on August 30 on bribery charges.
The CBI alleged that Mr Kishore had taxable income of Rs 116 crore but tried to reduce this to Rs 60 crore by paying a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to Mr Ravinder.
Meanwhile, a bail application of Mr P Kishore in the Madras High Court is to come up for hearing in October first week.
