Online marketplace Flipkart has launched its first tablet under Digiflip, its private label for consumer electronics and IT products.
The dual-SIM tablet, Digiflip Pro XT712, which has been priced at ₹9,999, will compete in the affordable Android tablet market that has global players such as Samsung, Dell and Lenovo. Indian players Karbonn and Micromax have also launched tablets under the ₹10,000 bracket.
With this, the company is expanding its private label, DigiFlip. Flipkart already sells pendrives, headphones and speakers under this brand.
The company said buyers will get shopping benefits worth over ₹5,000 and free e-Books worth ₹2,000 if they download the Flipkart app on the tablet.
The after-sales service for Digiflip Pro tablets will be handled through a network of more than 120 service centres across 100 cities. The tablet also comes with the usual Flipkart benefits such as cash-on-delivery and a 30-day replacement policy.
XT712 has a 1.3 GHz quad core Cortex A7 processorand has dual SIM 3G calling features.
