Offshore BPO company Genpact has opened a facility in Dubai to serve customers in West Asia and North Africa.
Mr N.V. Tyagarajan, President and CEO of Genpact, said that the company hopes to grow the centre into a 500-person hub in three years.
With its current capacity at 80 seats, the centre will provide BPO functions such as claims processing, customer service, collections, treasury operations, finance and accounting, analytics and risk-related services. Setting up operations closer to clients is part of Genpact's growth strategy, and the decision to open the new centre in the UAE is based on factors such as strong infrastructure and connectivity, Government policies and the ease of doing business in Dubai, the company statement said. Genpact now has BPO delivery centres in 17 countries.
Mr Vishal Pandit, Business Leader for West Asia at Genpact, said that the centre will enhance the company's capabilities to deliver services in Arabic. “We will initially be focusing on clients in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia markets,” he said.
Genpact will provide project-based analytics and reengineering services, transaction processing and customer care services. In addition to BPO services, Genpact will also work with clients to improve the effectiveness of their IT infrastructure, the statement added.
