Global business process and technology management company Genpact Ltd on Monday signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ohio-based Triumph Engineering Corp.
It said the pact would “catapult” its engineering and technical services.
However, both the companies did not disclose other terms of the deal.
Triumph Engineering provides services to aviation, energy and oil and gas industries such as product lifecycle management implementation and computer-aided design customisation with centres in the US, Europe, Asia, and West Asia. Its 90 employees would become part of Genpact’s infrastructure, manufacturing and services vertical, the company said.
“Our plan is to build engineering centres of excellence with an initial focus on the aviation and energy sectors, which we would later expand to cover other manufacturing segments,” Mr Tiger Tyagarajan, President and Chief Executive Officer, Genpact said.
He said the acquisition would allow Genpact to combine onsite expertise and depth in engineering with its global scale and end-to-end process management to meet growing demand.
“By leveraging Genpact’s global delivery footprint, we will be able to offer comprehensive services that address the new product innovation demand we’re seeing from our clients and help them achieve maximum business impact,” Mr Harry Westerkamp, Chief Executive Officer, Triumph Engineering, said.
