Google India has covered 1.5 lakh small and medium businesses (SMBs) under the ‘India Get Your Business Online’ initiative.
The digital media and search engine company launched the initiative one year ago that offers free Web site building tools to SMBs.
“We also provide .in domain names to them. We help them in getting online presence,’’ Rajan Anandan, Managing Director of Google India, said.
The company’s target was to reach 5 lakh SMBs under the initiative. He said the remaining 3.5 lakh would be covered in the next two years.
Rajan is in Hyderabad to attend the two-day Digital Media Summit 2013 being held at Indian School of Business.
