Google, in partnership with LG Electronics, has launched its high-end smartphone with quad core processor Nexus 4 in India priced at Rs 25,999.
“LG Electronics is pleased to partner Google on the release of the Nexus 4 in India,” LG Electronics India Managing Director Soon Kwon said in a statement today.
LG has started selling the phones across select stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Thane, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Ahmedabad.
The hardware of the phone has been designed by LG and comes with wireless charging facility. The phone will support both 2G and 3G network.
Quad core processor
Nexus 4 has Qualcomm’s quad core processor which is like having four processors on a single chipset. The smartphone has 2GB of RAM and is built on the fastest version of Android operating system Jelly Bean.
The phone has built-in near field communication technology which can be used for transferring data or making payments by just touching the phone.
The NFC technology is used in smartcards provided by Delhi metro, electronic tags on objects in shopping malls to check theft and also for deduction on toll charges at certain toll gates.
Nexus has 8 megapixel primary camera with an LED flash and 1.3 MP front camera which can support video calls.
