Reliance Communications has appointed former Aircel COO, Mr Gurdeep Singh, as President and Chief Executive Officer of its wireless business, which provides and manages mobile telephony services.
Mr Singh had quit Aircel in January this year.
The Anil Ambani group company in a statement said that Mr Singh will also be a member of the Reliance Management Board.
“I am delighted to be a part of the Reliance Group and look forward to an exciting journey in taking Reliance Communications Wireless Business to greater heights,” Mr Singh said.
Mr Singh has around 29 years of experience in sectors like telecom, home appliances and consumer electronics. He has also worked in Hutch (now Vodafone) as Director-Operations, North, for about five years.
Shares of RComm ended at Rs 63.90, down 3.11 per cent over the previous close on the BSE.
