Personal assistant app Haptik has launched an updated version with an in-built SmartWallet that enables commercial transactions. The latest version, Haptik 5.0, also features a partner ecosystem of more than 25 brands such as Uber, Zomato, BookMyShow, Goibibo, Cleartrip and UrbanClap among others.
Haptik is a chat-based app that helps users perform daily tasks and facilitates multiple transactions on a single platform. “Conversational commerce and Chatbots have been the trending topics for a better part of 2016 and we believe that it is all the more relevant for the Indian market, which is very different when compared to other developed or emerging markets. With Indians spending 75 per cent of their time on smartphones on a text or chat interface, it has been our endeavour to improve that experience by leveraging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning,” said Aakrit Vaish, CEO at Haptik.
Haptik 5.0 also features ‘Genius Mode’, a feature powered by artificial intelligence that allows personalisation of services and offerings. The technology (which can be turned off by users) curates and recommends services and offerings based on the users’ personality and transaction history on the app.
Haptik processes requests for a wide range of services that includes travel bookings, movie tickets, cabs, restaurant reservation and repair services among others. The app’s most popular feature is reminders, where users actually receive an automated call for day-to-day activities and chores.
Haptik is highest rated app in India as of December 2016, with an average rating of 4.55 on Google Play with over 75,000 reviews.
