HCL Infosystems on Monday partnered online games developer ibibo for the pre-installation of iBrowser on its tablet range. iBrowser is a mobile browser, which will give web experience to HCL tablet users.
The HCL ME U1 and HCL ME Y2 android tablets are equipped with the iBrowser and now as part of the partnership it would be pre-installed on all future new tablet models from HCL.
It would enhance the browsing experience by way of easy and secure access to Web sites, including email, community sites, search and news, HCL Infosystems said.
“The increasing requirement of on-the-go connectivity among tablet users will further augment the demand for our tabs. iBrowser will enable our consumers to explore the latest cutting-edge experience of accessing Internet with a fast, secure and user friendly mobile browser,” Gautam Advani, Executive Vice-President and Head, Mobility, HCL Infosystems, said.
Apart from enhancement of the Internet access through iBrowser, the users of the tablets can also access the ME App store which has over 15,000 applications from the latest android apps, he said.
“With iBrowser, users will not even need to type addresses of popular websites as they are already embedded within the browser,” Vikrant Khorana, Director-Mobile and Business Head, iBrowser, said.
