HCL Tech, Consumers Energy to build new centre at Michigan

HCL America Inc, a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of HCL Technologies Ltd and Consumers Energy, a US-based electric and natural gas company, have announced their corroboration on a new technology centre at Michigan. Called the Michigan Technology Development Centre (MTDC), it will be located at the Commonwealth Commerce Centre in downtown Jackson, Michigan. HCL expects to hire 300 local technology professionals during phase one of the MTDC opening. The MTDC will be a designated training and development hub for IT processes, and will work with local universities. It will also establish a learning academy to train consumers energy employees on emerging technologies, and will further expand to accommodate 500 technology professionals in the next few years.
