Business process outsourcing company Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) has chalked out its international expansion plans as the company sees strong order flow in this financial year.

The Bengaluru headquartered BPO company has opened its second centre in Texas, which has a capacity of 800 seats. Further, it also plans to open another centre in Ontario, Canada, which has a capacity to seat 400-500 employees. In 2013, HGS opened a centre in Barrie, Canada, which has a capacity of 350 seats and provides inbound customer care services to English and French speaking clients.

The company also plans to open another 500-seater in India, the location of which is being finalised. Talking to BusinessLine , Partha DeSarkar, Chief Executive Officer, said these initiatives are as a result of new client additions and a strong demand coming from companies in the US that are looking to outsource in healthcare, financial services and telecom verticals.

At the end of December, the company had 28,630 people, of which 43 per cent are based out of India in places such as America, the Philippines and the UK.

DeSarkar also added that despite ramp up in its Philippines centres, which had an impact on its net profits in the December 2014-ended quarter, the region is growing as companies in developed markets are looking to outsource some of their business processes.

“Also, there is a good cultural fit in locations like the Philippines due to which we see more business come in,” he added.

As of December 2014, 21 per cent of its workforce is base in the Philippines, higher than its peers, according to industry watchers.
