Hinduja Group’s BPO arm Hinduja Global Solutions has reported an almost flat profit growth at Rs 31.07 crore in the January-March quarter against Rs 30.86 crore a year ago following a sharp rise in interest payment.
On a full-year basis, the company saw its revenue jump 45 per cent to Rs 1,554.3 crore.
On hiring plans, Mr Sarkar said the company, which has its largest BPO centre in the Philippines, will hire 3,000 more this fiscal.
“A mix of organic and inorganic initiatives and favourable exchange rates have led to this growth,’’ said Mr Sarkar.
He added that 25 per cent growth came from inorganic route and 20 per cent from the existing business.
