Hitachi Consulting has acquired the US-based PRIZIM Inc that offers sustainability audit, consulting, training and managed service.
Both the firms didn't talk on the value of the deal. With headquarters in Maryland, PRIZIM employs 45 people.
“This acquisition would strengthen our management consulting business with high value solutions and services,” Mr Phil Parr, President and Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Consulting, said here in a statement on Thursday.
“Our Environmental Sustainability practice has already gained momentum and industry recognition. Now with the addition of PRIZIM's capabilities, intellectual property, Hitachi Consulting can meet our clients' growing demand for sustainability services,” Mr Todd Price, Senior Vice-President of Hitachi Consulting's Environmental Sustainability Solutions practice, said.
Hitachi felt that this would buy would help it increase its public sector business as both federal civilian and Defence agencies were making sustainability an essential component of their operations.
