Hitachi unveils cloud solutions and services for enterprises

Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), part of the Japan-based electronics major Hitachi, today unveiled solutions and services, which will help enterprises to adopt cloud computing to address demands like growth of unstructured data, accessing information from anywhere.

HDC claims that it is industry’s first integrated file sync and share solution that is built, sold and supported for the enterprises entirely by a single vendor.

“The new HDS offerings will help customers achieve cost and flexibility benefits of cloud services by reducing capex and opex and at the same time also ensure security and protection of all data,” HDS Director Asia Pacific (Software Group & Cloud Solutions) Sunil Chavan said here.

It brings secure mobility to the enterprise and lets users access data and collaborate on any device, from any location at any time and easily share files, Chavan added.

The new version of Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) offers a seamless cloud storage platform for data protection, enterprise mobility and content cloud. It features an advanced metadata management in the market and sets a foundation for big data and analytics, he said.

HDS cloud solutions and services answers to the growing trends like big data, bring your own device, next-generation file services, secure clouds, distributed IT and metadata driven automation, management and analytics.

It delivers secure, flexible, scalable and easy-to-manage private, hybrid and public cloud infrastructures, which enable businesses to lower their total cost of ownership, meet service level agreements and improve operational efficiency.

HDS provides information technologies, services and solutions to firms to help improve IT costs and agility and innovate with information. It employees about 6,000 people and does business in more than 100 countries and regions.
