Twitter is yet to roll out the bookmarking feature in desktops. But there is a way out to get the feature on desktops.
For the uninitiated, Twitter introduced the bookmark feature on mobile apps and mobile web. Clicking on the Share icon on the right of tweets showed an option that allowed users to “Add Tweet to Bookmarks”. Once added, the tweets bookmarked would show up on the Bookmarks tab on the Profile.
Twitter is yet to roll out the feature on the desktop version. The only option now to bookmark a tweet on the desktop is the good old way of Liking a tweet. But this throws up several issues - including others mistaking it for the user ‘liking’ a tweet, not bookmarking them. Also, there was no option to separate bookmarks and Likes.
The easy option now to bookmark tweets is to add the word “mobile” before twitter on the URL bar. For instance, https://mobile.twitter.com in place of https://twitter.com/ . The word “mobile” can also be added before any tweet URL.
Doing this will display an icon on the right. Clicking on it will reveal the option to bookmark the tweet. The bookmarked tweets will show up on the Bookmarks tab on the Profile.
