How to link Paytm with Aadhaar

Linking PayTm with Aadhaar

It is still possible to have the mandatory KYC (or eKYC) (Know Your Customer) done with your Paytm account to continue using it. How to do it

Option 1 : Through app

When you open the app, you will get a prompt that says ‘Get Your KYC done’.

Click on Proceed. The next screen will display the benefits you get for doing your KYC.

Clicking on proceed will take you to a screen where you will have to key in your Aadhaar number and click on the check box that you “agree to terms and conditions”. Click on Proceed again.

The next screen will ask your name as in the Aadhaar card. (If you don’t have Aadhaar, you can complete your KYC through Passport, Voter ID,Driving Licence or NREGA Job Card.)

In the next screen, you will have to enter the Aadhaar OTP received in your mobile. Once you enter the OTP, the next screen will show your Aadhaar details and you will have to confirm it.

The next screen will ask for some additional details like marital status, profession, parents’ names and PAN number.

The app will now ask you to link your bank account with the Paytm BHIM UPI address. Once you select your bank, you will get an OTP from the your bank.

Now your Paytm BHIM UPI ID would have been created. It will be your mobile number@paytm.

Your KYC is now complete.

Option 2 : Visit KYC centre

Click on the menu on your Paytm app and select “Nearby”

Click on “Complete KYC” to find our KYC centre in proximity of your location (make sure location services is activated on your mobile)

Visit any centre in the list with your Aadhaar number and PAN and get your full KYC done instantly.

You may have to verify Aadhaar with your biometrics.

Option 3: Call Paytm

Call Paytm Customer Care at 0120 3888 388. The customer care person will guide you through the process. They may even send an agent to your residence or office to complete the KYC. Keep in mind to have the Aadhaar number with you
