Honor, Huawei’s smartphone brand, on Wednesday launched the Honor 8 along with two other smartphones, Honor 8 Smart and its first ‘Make in India’ phone, Honor Holly 3, priced between ₹9,999 and ₹29,999.
While the flagship Honor 8 is priced at ₹29,999, the Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3 are priced at ₹19,999 and ₹9,999, respectively.
The Honor 8 will come with a two-year warranty and a touch-screen replacement guarantee in the first three months, the company said, adding that it will be exclusively available at Flipkart and Amazon along with the Honor store, while the other two will follow soon.
“We recently celebrated the second anniversary of Honor in India. Honor has received an incredible amount of love and support for all of our products, starting with Honor 6 in 2014. We are excited to launch three new offerings for our customers,” said George Zhao, Honor President.
Taking the legacy of its predecessor, the Honor 8’s 12MP dual-lens camera comprises RGB and monochrome lenses that are said to capture more light to deliver better picture quality. Additionally, it has an 8MP front camera. It runs on Android 6.0 and Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1.
Featuring a 3000mAh battery, the smartphone has a 4GB RAM and external memory support up to 128GB.
The 5.2-inch Honor 8 Smart has a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It is equipped with a 3000 mAh battery. Similarly, the Honor Holly 3 (5.5-inch smartphone) is equipped with a 3100 mAh battery. It comes with a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera.
