What gadgets do you use?

It snuck up on me, but I’ve become a total Apple user. I work on a MacBook Air and an iPhone 5, with an Android phone that I reserve for use in India. My iPad and AppleTV are indispensable for reading, watching movies, and playing games with my kids. One of my close friends just got me Nike Fuel Band, which I’m excited to use with my iPhone.

Which is the latest gadget you picked up?

Sonos Play: 5. It has changed the way I listen to music.

What is your dream machine?

The Tesla Model S. In my opinion, Elon Musk is a revolutionary.

What do you not like about technology?

Work is now 24x7x365. With these devices, we’re constantly connected; it requires a lot of discipline to not look at your phone when spending time with family.

Which apps are you addicted to?

iBooks, Yelp, Uber, Saavn (naturally), Evernote (extension of my memory/brain), LinkedIn, Instagram, Pandora, and Facebook.

One anecdote relating to tech.

This is both nostalgic and about nostalgia. I’ve become an amateur videographer given the camera strength and storage of new smartphones. I know my memory is going to go with time, and I never want to forget all the amazing people I’ve been lucky to know. To my family, friends, and colleagues: If I take a random video of you, please know where I’m coming from - I’m not trying to embarrass you!

What’s the biggest tech disaster according to you?

So many companies have gone through disasters – Twitter’s constant outages, Netflix’sQuikster debacle, Facebook’s beacon rollout, etc. But they all survived, learned from their mistakes, and came out stronger for it.

One instance where technology solved your problem.

I love to read and carrying around a couple books at a time was just not fun. Apple’s iBooks is great, and, fingers crossed, has saved me from late-onset scoliosis.
